Substitute Class Teacher at Värgårdsskolan 4-6

We are looking for someone who wants to work with us in a good community and contribute to students' knowledge development. Värgårdsskolan 4-6 is Kisa's middle school. The school is located by Värgårdsudde - close to nature and the lake. We have three working teams at the school, with approximately 170 students distributed across 9 classes. At the school, you will have the opportunity for close collaboration with the principal and various professionals in student health. The school is characterized by the staff's commitment to providing high-quality teaching, study peace, and high safety. At Värgårdsskolan, we believe in close cooperation with guardians, and we work in various ways to create conditions for students' knowledge development together. Currently, we are working with family classes, flexible groups, enhanced study support, and parent meetings in a "workshop format" based on the current needs of each grade.

Job Description

You will work at Värgårdsskolan 4-6, where you, as a class teacher and mentor, will be part of a working team collaborating around the students in the grade. You have a teaching license with authorization to teach grades 4-6. You will teach several subjects in the class you work with, including Swedish, Math, English, and Social Studies.

We are looking for someone who sees the strengths and opportunities of the students and has the competence to support our students in reaching the educational goals.

To thrive in the role of a teacher with us, it is important that you have the ability to create pathways for contact and maintain relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You have a good understanding of how students absorb knowledge. You work purposefully with the curriculum as a foundation and strive for the students to achieve as far as possible based on their circumstances. This means you plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively. Together with all staff, you take overall responsibility for all students' school days and contribute to well-being and community. You have a clear teacher leadership in and outside the classroom, focusing on the development of the entire school operation and students' learning.
